From May 19th to 29th, the "China Roots Journey" summer camp for Filipino-Chinese teenagers, carefully planned and organized by Jinjiang Luoshan Lingyuan Xintang Overseas Chinese Federation and sponsored by the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and other departments, was successfully held. 36 Filipino-Chinese people whose ancestral homes are in these towns The students returned to the Philippines with full family affection and nostalgia. They visited the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall to feel Mr. Kah Kee’s patriotic sentiments, experienced the majestic mountains and rivers of Wuyi Mountain, and left unforgettable Jinjiang local culture.
The organizer of this trip arranged a local flavor. The campers visited a Manichaean temple, a national key cultural relic protection site, and learned traditional Chinese culture and Hanfu etiquette knowledge at Longquan Academy. They also visited Quanzhou South Shaolin and learned Chinese martial arts. Experience Buddhist culture at Lingyuan Temple in Lingyuan Mountain. The campers visited Anping Bridge, which is said to be the longest bridge in the world, and marveled at the wisdom and greatness of their ancestors.
At Luoshan Middle School, Filipino-Chinese teenagers study together with local students one-on-one, and stay in the paired students' homes. They learn Chinese calligraphy and painting, group dancing, and poetry recitation at Xinqiao Middle School.
